Everyone likes to follow their own style and when it comes to fashion it is all about breaking the rules. People who are hard core fashion followers are not particular about following any trend. In-spite of all this, there are a few people who still follow a few fashion myths.

Black suits everyone

Fact-

Though, black is a very versatile color as compared to other colors, it still doesn’t suit every skin tone. People with a pale skin tone should avoid wearing black close to their neck as it would make them look very pale.

Myth- Horizontal stripes make a person look fat.
Fact- It has been observed that women wearing horizontal stripes look slimmer by 5% as compared to women wearing vertical stripes that are not spaced to close. Vertical stripes give an illusion of width.

Myth-

Shoes and bags must match

Fact-

This was a trend of the past, but now people don’t really follow this. Instead shoes or bags should match the outfit rather each other.

Myth-

Unwanted curves can be hidden by wearing loose clothes.

Fact-

Wearing loose clothes will not help in hiding your body flaws, it would rather make you look very odd. Wear clothes that go along the curves of your body and flatter it.

Myth-

Long tops and skirts would make a person look short.

Fact-

Long skirts make a person look taller if matched with the right top.

Myth-

People with skinny legs can wear anything.

Facts-

People with skinny legs should avoid wearing short shots, mini skirts and hot pants.

Myth-

Funky accessories are ”in” therefore all can be worn.

Facts-

Funky accessories are not meant to be worn all at a time. If you choose to wear a funky pendant, then avoid wearing anything else with it.

Myth-

Sequins are only for night occasions.

Facts-

A casual sequinned top or a skirt can look awesome during the day also.
