Footwear Tips for Monsoons

Since monsoons have set in, its time one knows what to put on before stepping out. Everyone has to compromise on their clothing and footwear. What’s more important is to be comfortable. People who are very enthusiastic about dressing well may not be able to wear just about anything. When it comes to footwear, you should know what to keep in and what can be worn.

Some must-have footwear for Monsoon

  • If you decide to wear capri’s or a short skirt, then you can wear flip-flops or just flats. Now this is only if it is raining moderately because your legs may get stained with mud.
  • On days when you dress up in outfit like a sari, you can then wear sandals with straps as this would be firm on your feet.
  • Women who cannot resist wearing heels can go for slip-resistant sandals but the heel should not be more than 2 inches.
  • These sandals have a stronger grip on the roads while walking.
  • Crocs is a brand that has introduced awesome footwear, so you can happily flaunt your feet now.
  • When it comes to men, they can opt for knee length gum-boots or floaters.
  • During monsoons do not wear sports or canvas shoes as they may attract the growth of bacteria. This makes it very unhygienic for the feet.
  • Avoid wearing leather shoes as they too have a tendency to support bacteria because of the moisture.
  • If it is important to wear leather shoe, then make sure that your feet are not slippery and you open them with the lace.
  • There are many brands like Adidas, puma, Nike and Reebok that are designed for all types of weather conditions.

So, get out of your apprehensions and enjoy this monsoon season by following a few guidelines. It’s time to make the best out of it without compromising.
