How to choose the right sunscreen according to your skin and body type?

Summer is the perfect time to go swimming, to the beach and to attend outdoor parties. But how do you enjoy these fun activities without damaging your skin? The right way to enjoy the summer sun is by picking up (and applying!) the right sunscreen. So,consider some of the following instructions on how to pick a sunscreen that’s perfect for your skin.

How do you choose the right sunscreen for your skin type?

  • First, you must analyze your natural skin tone and type. Without any makeup, look in the mirror to see what your natural skin tone and type is.
  • Drastic changes in your weight can also have a great effect on your skin, which can make you look older. So try to compare your current weight with the weight you were when you were younger.
  • Think about all of the areas where you have resided in past, as well as where you currently live. Dessert and southern areas have a very strong potential to damage ones skin.
  • Try to analyze all of the sunbathing you’ve done in your past. The more you’ve sunbathed without any sunscreen and protection, the more your skin age, making you look older than you are.
  • Also, you must consider your skin type – oily, dry, sensitive, normal, or combination? Those with sensitive or dry skin need to take care of their skin more than others, as their skin tends to age faster.People with sensitive or dry skin need stronger sunblock or sunscreen compare to oily and normal skin types.
  • Also, moisturizing sunscreen is great for those with a dry skin type. For those with oily, normal, or combination skin types, using an oil-free sunscreen will work best, as it won’t clog your pores.

Finally, the lighter your skin is, the higher SPF you need. If you are dark skinned, SPF 15 or 20 may work just fine at protecting your skin. That’s not so for light and fair skinned people. If you have light or fair skin, you want to use at least a SPF 30, though the higher SPF the better.
